I have been going to ballet performances for 50 years; I have seen this ballet (one of my very favourites) many times including several times at Covent Garden seeing some of the greats inc Nureyev/Fontaine. This has been the most entrancing production yet! The dancing, acting and costumes were fabulous and often innovative . The sets(although relatively basic), did not detract at all. I absolutely LOVED it and can’t wait to see this company do other ballets (and R&J again) when they return. I was thoroughly immersed in the story, which was quite believable due to the leads.
