So Amazing…….
As a long time fan of fabulous Luther Vandross I have always felt it would be impossible to 100% capture the voice and the vocal skills of the man but it happened last night at the Theatre Royal - and I’m not over selling this show. It was unbelievable. Every note, the delivery of the songs captured the essence of Luther. The work and commitment that must have gone in to producing this quality show paid off big time. The backing singers were superb and again the individual singers involved in the duets were incredible. For any Luther fan, we got the lot and it took me back to the concerts I went to years ago, which includes his days with Change. My adult children were brought up listening to and learning to appreciate Luther and are big fans and I’ll be taking them with me next time as I want them to experience the joy and excellence of this show as they never got to see the man himself. Never Too Much !
Honestly…exceeded my expectations.
Luther’s velvet tones were unique and unsurpassed but Harry Cambridge had a good go. I have so many memories growing up with his songs and last night I was teary eyed with emotion. Luther’s songs are timeless and if you get a chance to see this fantastic tribute you won’t be disappointed, so much so that I’ll try and get tickets at another venue soon.
The backing singers were top notch and the duets were So Amazing.
